Hi all ,
Hope everybody is well . I have a 2016 Branson 3520h with loader and backhoe BH8620 (made by Ansung ) . I have about 50 hours on it and love it . Except for one thing , and I was hoping someone might be able to help me . The backhoe boom swing is dreadfully slow .When I swing the boom I can hear the oil flow being restricted . I'm sure there is a restriction put in to slow it down . Can I drill this out to increase flow ? Can I take the valve apart and remove the restrictor ? I thought I would ask before I start taking a brand new unit apart.

Thanks from Ontario Canada

Well I got it solved .The two hydraulic lines that feed the swing cylinders each have a 'T' fitting located close the tractor end of the cylinders. All you have to do is remove these fittings (one at a time) and you will see at one end the fitting is restricted . I just drilled the hole out twice as big (still a small hole ) and put it back together . Instant increase in boom swing speed, now I can trench at a much more satisfactory speed !

That's interesting, glad it worked out.

Good to hear I've noticed that on these backhoes.

"Dreadfully slow" is an interesting description. I don't suppose you timed it before and after?

I don't consider my backhoe to have a slow swing speed but mine is a BH76. I'm not really clear on the differences between the 860 and the 76 but I'm very happy with my backhoe. I'm getting really fluid and efficient with it with less and less wasted motion and less thinking, as if it's become a part of my body.

Probably the best way to increase the rate of work for a machine is to become an expert operator.

That said, I wonder why yours is slower than average. I wonder if parts got mixed up.

BTW, what made you decide to drill out the T-fittings?

Thanks.

I have the 76 as well, and the swing speed is fast enough for me.
