This is from 2 seasons ago - random timing on my part, but I thought it appropriate on a tractor forum.

It's pretty slick to just call my father-in-law from the field and he shows up with the 3020 (rather than drag the sonuvagun out).

Ha! The mount is currently in a temporary spot in my garage while I am doing some rehab work on the room where he'll end up.

He was the dominant buck on the farm, and had been brawling pretty heavily to maintain that status. He had a torn ear, several tears on his upper neck, and a few busted tines. The taxidermist was telling me what a shame all that was...I told him I thought all that character made it even cooler.

Indeed! I killed a buck that was a real brawler a few years ago myself. All the tines were broken off so that he technically was only an 8. Those 8 were all shattered stubs. He didn't get a full mount like yours did, but his skull cap got a place on my wall nonetheless. I like them with some character- makes them MORE of a trophy in my book.
