What would be best and or great size snowblower for b26???

You need to narrow down a number of things long before you
even look at a snow caster for your mule.

Do you have a budgeted amount for a snow caster for your new mule?
you need to decide how much money you have to spend.
If money is not an issue you can buy a Pronovost TRC720 model with all the
bells and whistles and an extended chute.
How many remotes will the new mule have? 2?, 3?
Three remotes is always better as it will let you operate a snow caster with
a rotating impeller drum like the TRC720 which will let you clear snow faster and farther.
Do you have rear chains? If not you should invest in them.
My brother has a B 40 that he hardly uses and it gets stuck because it does not have chains
or ballast in the rear tires.


Are the rear tires going to be loaded with liquid ballast?




If its not too late ask to have a 3 set of remotes added to your mule.

I had asked for 2 remotes..no chains or ballast..were going to see how much weight the b26 will be pulling,with the cab installed and rear blower..they suggested to me the 64" kubota model BLMX3164,..said it should work great..crosses fingers,toes and eyes.lol....any comments on this set up for the b26 would be deeply appreciated....oh,dealer has never installed nor seen in person a cab on b26,, myself either except on websites..I think the Laurin cab will be awesome...I'm waiting and kinda excited about it...I did own a older year b26... so I know it's a brute..and 8 years that I owned it,only issue I ever had was a single hose had dry rotted out ... so I think b26 is great machine...for small or big tasks.....I will be posting pictures when I receive my tank...lol..

I bought a pronovost and added 3 RR to the l6060. Havent had much use for it till today. It is a stout SOB and weighs a good amount. I played with it once and realized I need a rear defroster for the cab.

I'm glad I got that on my L4060. You are suppose to get the high capacity alternator if you get the defroster. The rear defroster is just a whole new rear window assembly with the heater elements built in.

Mine has the HO alternator, I just didn't foresee how much snow would stick to the glass on the outside once it started throwing.

Does yours throw an error if you turn the key on & don't start it within a few seconds? Mine does & the dealer warned me it would when I picked it up because of the HO alternator & resulting wiring harness changes. Not really a problem just odd & occasionally very mildly annoying.

I hope it don't.i was telling my dealer that they might have to change out alternator to 75 amp..due to the extra lights,radio,heater inside a non factory cab...

I should have gotten the larger alternator on my 4060 with rear defrost. With that and the lights the alt barely keeps up. One thing I noted is that the alternator doesn't start making voltage above battery voltage until about 1000 engine rpm.
