Here are pics of my weights, lest anyone think they don't need paint. They need paint.

I bought them used for a good price along with the bracket. The bracket is for an M5460 or something like that but through judicious cross-searching I learned it would fit my M7040 as well about 30 other Kubotas. I wonder if Kubota doesn't like to fool with part numbers and applications. Anyway, it fits so I bought the bracket and 7 weights for a total, I think, of 800 lbs. I'm good with that.

Here are the weights:

I made sure the bracket fit and also put a weight on to make sure it fit. It did.

Now, with that aside, I looked at another tractor I have and on OEM weights there appears to be the Gloss Dark Gray OEM paint on it because it sure looks shiny and not dull.

Here's a pic of all seven weights on.

Plus two of the four rear weights.

So, here the weight total. 800 lbs for the front.

The rear is 328 per pair for a 656 total and the rear cast wheel centers are 575 over steel wheels. So, 800 plus 656 plus 575 is 2,031 lbs of added weight to an M7040. It won't be on there all the time but will be when I need tillage and such.

Very nice rack Six. ;)

That's a good amount of weight to add or remove from the front!!!! I add around 1000lbs to the front of my 9540 when carrying my 10ft mounted brush cutter.

Another new slang term for tbe collection!!!! :)

:) It's also used in regards to something expensive... "How much did that cost, Mate?" "BIG biccies!"

[Note: can also be spelt with k's]

You can mount that bracket in front of your grill guard.

Maybe a different bracket but not this one. I tried and there wasn't sufficient clearance for the weights. They would hit the lip on the grille guard. Sure would prefer the grille guard stayed on so I'll presume the one you have is different than the one I have?

When I looked up LA1154 loader in the Kubota parts section of the website, then options, it shows 2 different grille guards, and 1 weight bracket. It looks like the weight bracket only fits one type of grille guard, which is the one I have.
Not sure if you have a 1154 or 1153 loader, but there is a grille guard for that bracket. I can take some pics of my setup if that will help.

Yes, please take a couple pics if you can. I have an 1153 loader and would love to figure this out. I looked up the parts and can see the lower grill guard portion that you have. The upper guard is the same. The bottom portion you have is only $135 so maybe I'll buy one. I could easily do lots more in damage from no grille guard**.

**and have on other tractors.
