It's been a while since I participated here, but I have been lurking and researching.

I have owned a BX25 for the last two years. I have been very happy with her.

Last year I purchased a mini excavator, so the BX was relegated to just tractor duties.

That little machine works really well, and punched way above her weight class. That being said, I knew I needed a bigger machine.

I looked researched brands, models, etc.

I went to my local Mahindra dealer and sat in the 2538. I was sold.

So did the paperwork and I take delivery Friday.

2538 with loader
7' blade
Pallet forks
6' box
Beet juice in the rears

$29,100 after rebates.

I went with the 5.9% as it gave me $1500 off and I will pay it off in 18 months or so.

First purchase will be a third function and grapple from EA. The grapple on my BX was my most used implement.

Really excited to have this machine.

My father in law is deciding whether he wants to take over the BX. If he doesn't, I will strip her of the extras I put on, sell them and her.

Had my 2538 for about 5 months now, and have really put it to the test on multiple occasions. Its come thru every time.

FWIW, I had my dealer modify my seat height to fit me better, and put in a hidden kill switch to (hopefully) deter theft.

With all the attachments you got, sounds like you got a helluva deal !! (but maybe the dealer would cut you a really good deal on the 3rd function hydraulics before delivery...)

Welcome to the "club" !

Wr long kit and a grapple!!!! Yeah Buddy!!!! Love my 2538 just got it a week ago, I have 6 hour on it. I didn't get the cab version due to destroying it in the woods. I too had a smaller tractor, a Max 24, I upgraded and wow what a difference. We have a Max 26 TLB and a Cat 305 Mini, Now the 2538 has the grapple and I installed the WR long kit myself, took about an hour to install. Quick, neat and clean, WR long has a kit for the Mahindra 2538, But just check to see if that kit fits the "cab" version.

Congrats and good luck!

I do a lot of woods work as well and the glass has me a bit concerned, but sitting in the cab with heat and AC was kinda what pushed me over the edge.

My mini is a Takeuchi T035. 7500 lb machine. It is older, but does what I need it to do.

WR kit and EA grapple on order. I installed the Land Pride grapple and third function on my BX, so I am hopeful install of WR should be similar. Nothing like messing with your new toy before you even use it.

I saw NJ and thought we might be close. Nope.

The deal was pretty good, but it is mostly due to dealer cutting off an extra $500 to close his month and the $1200 in attachment rebates.

The Mahindra third function was just too much $ for me to accept.

I also just filled out a rebate form that gets me another $500 off as well! First month's payment!

Also pulled the trigger on a 2538 last week. I went ahead and had the dealer put the third function on, didn't trust myself to do it on a brand new tractor. I am thinking the grapple will be the most useful for me. My place in the Texas Hill Country has lots of rock so there won't be much mowing. But I have tons of stuff I have cut and hand drug to a burn pile, I think those days are over. Between the cedar and huisache I could burn quite some time. Can't wait to pick it up.
