Anybody use Seafoam in your lawnmower?

We used to swear by the stuff. However, we have had better luck using non ethanol fuel. Apples and oranges with regards to fuel stabilization but with regards to "power" the best product is the product the small engine was designed for- non ethanol fuel.

I think you are talking apple to oranges, and a different discussion. I use both non ethanol and seafoam in many things. Stabil products have been around before ethanol was widely used, or heard of. Is it more critical now? Other then my autos and bikes, I tend to use non ethanol in general.

Wonly Ethanol fuel has been available here for probably 20 years.

You might want to re think that. Doing so, makes me rethink everything you claim. I think none of it is true.

In my saws, I buy premix gas this time of year. I question how old premium is, unless you have snowmobilers.

Difficult to find ethanol free fuel around here and it is regular... no premium that I have found. I do try to buy it by the 5gal can for my small engines as well as 5gal can of off road diesel for my tractor. But to get both I have to go to the next town over. I do want to agree that ethanol free gas seems to be preferred by my small engines.

You are on the coast. The political beliefs of the coast are different then regular America. Here you have to pay $$ for corn free premium. Much more than premium used to be. I blame that on the coasts.

US would be alot better without the east and west coasts. They don't share our values and muck it up.

But I can get corn free premium.

Just to help you understand a bit more about the coasts.. it is more of the political beliefs of big city folk vs. small town/rural than it is the 'coasts'. It just so happens there is a ton of international trade along the coasts that have created local empires with a concentration of people. Don't put us all in the same bucket based on geography.

It is sad the state of men today. Especially on a tractor forum. You know who you are. I don't for sure, cause well, you know.

OP asked a few questions- one was about increased performance. We have about 25 small engine tools plus another 10 or so generators. We tried a lot of products and techniques, including the product OP is asking about. We, much like the OP, read and heard about the wonders of the product. After 12 or so months of use we determined it made no improvement to the engines or the maintenance schedules.

BTW- OP was asking about Seafoam not the Stabil products- apples and oranges. However, note the post above mine made reference to fuel stabilization which prompted my comment. In other words non ethanol doesn't mean you don't need stabilization for extended storage.

I can't say it helps with performance, 20+ year old mower & 2 cycles still running strong on "E" gas with Seafoam added though. It goes in every fuel related product I own.
