Morning, could not see how to contact a web site moderator--so here's my QUESTION,,,,a lot of FORUM"S have a like button for when you read a post or response to a POST, and I find it VERY useful, a lot of people read but don't leave many response's, sometime's it's good to see X amount of people like a question or answer-help's knowing if your on base or not, and it's good way to give a person a little knod of approval, would someone please direct this to a MODERATOR.....

****as example if 50 view this and it had 20 like's hit that would make me think I'm thinking right---but if it had 1-2 LIKE"S I would have to think I'm in a huge minority..............

FYI, you could have contacted a moderator by clicking on the triangular icon at the bottom left of your post.

I missed that in computer school, Thank's---as example I could have hit LIKE button on your response instead of typing all this CRAP.

It has been discussed in the past. Many sites have likes, or reps etc. But it always seems to turn into a pissing match about who has the most, I'm smarter than you, etc etc.

While I wouldn't be opposed to whatever the mods want. I understand their reasoning to not add a like button if they so choose.

WELL I guess that's why you have conservative's and liberal's-I have never seen 1 NEG thing from having a LIKE button, but then I'm not looking for a negative or really care about some child's reason for a pissing match, I just think it's a quick easy way to say thank's or I like what you posted---OH WELL....

Is there a "dislike" button, too?

I hate it on other web forums -- much prefer not having it here. Turns into a bunch of people standing around with their thumbs up and I don't see the point of keeping score. Especially since it's often used the wrong way. On another forum I frequented, somebody posted something wrong and dangerous, and half the internet "liked" it before someone more knowledgeable came along and pointed out the glaring error. Made all the likers look like a bunch of dipsticks.

Here on TBN, things are a little more old fashioned and I like it.

Mate, if you agree (or disagree) with a post then 'liking' or 'disliking' it really says nothing at all. This is, for the most part, a discussion site.

If you're that pressed for time, post one of the emoji. You could have simply given Steve's post a thumbs-up and be done.

on the boarder of with and against.

for example if i mess up in saying something. folks flat out say so, or walk around it. and giving correct info. as an actual conversation would happen if everyone is in same room talking. vs a down vote. and messing up everything in order.

ditto, x2, x3, thumbs up, used enough.

there are many things that can be done multiple ways, and use multi different equipment. and it comes down to what ever you have, and getting it done. many times. see not a single person, but effort of multiple folks. working towards same answer for given OP (original poster). not about to place up vote each person. there also be multiple wide area of things get done with tractors. and large knowledge base. and many times what is stated tends to be directed at each individual person issue/s and problem/s. vs stating overall. many times it is pure education, and folks learning. and it can be a rather steep learning curve. not everyone clicks with each person responding, and each person learns differently.

with above said, i am lazy, and on other sites, it is 80/20 (80 times i am just to lazy to click like/dislike), (20 times i will click). prefer conversation. due to more info generally ends up being given and obtained, and more questions are answered asked. that trickles down in dealing with given situation.
