I have seen some things on Facebook about it. I don't know much but would defiantly like to learn more? Is it basically the same deck with just a hydraulic lift or are there any other benefits over the older 72.

The deck is different as seen in this ad Ventrac

Murphy, your "old" mower could not be that old. I know my old back would appreciate hydraulic lift on my contour, that beast is heavy! The new series of decks are touted to be of heavier stock and better bearings/spindles. Also seem to have some design features to help avoid snagging fences or building walls.

I called it my old one so not to confuse anyone. Never said it was a antique.

I'd be interested in how much they give you for a trade in. Which one do you currently have?

My dealer said it won't fit. My deck has 200+ hours on it.

I guess that is what they make a welder and a lathe and milling machine for........ I'm going to get a look at one and see if I can make it work. That is about all I'm interested in, the deck cuts fine........ Jim

Have to see if it is doable first, then how much it cost for the kit. It would sure make a lot easier if I didn't have to lift the deck to grease. The was what I liked about the Steiner deck, it greased from the top...... Jim
