This photo of my Square Four was taken in my back yard about eight years ago after I had finally completed the rebuild. Since then I've put on only a few hundred miles each year but in many ways the bike gives me much pleasure when I ride it. It is the flagship of my little Ariel fleet - I have a couple of singles too. The four cylinder, one thousand cc motor of the Sq4 has a false reputation of over heating on the rear cylinders. It won't overheat but it will seize if the oil passageways in the crankshafts (there are two crankshafts) are not cleaned out every 15,000 miles or so. I have added a proper cartridge type oil filter to greatly extend the clean-out interval.

Just brought home a 1975 BMW R90/6. Has bags and side covers (removed in pic). Dealer maintained, 3rd owner, 32,000 miles so just getting nicely broken in.

Nice /6, G-man! Makes me miss my '89 R100RT.

Kyle, Dave and Fitter, Thank you very much for the kind comments. No, that is the Pinnacle in the background. It is located just north of the border, more or less across from Richford, Vermont.

Thought I'd revive this thread.
Just picked up my new ride. 2002 Harley Electra Glide Ultra Classic. 17,000 miles. Has been well taken care of.

2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom. 19,500 miles. 2nd owner, bought 3 years ago with 3400 miles. Had not ridden for 50 years. Son bought a bike and I got mine so we could ride together. Thoroughly enjoying every mile, and riding much more than my son.

Have a neon green helmet that seems to emit a cone of invisibility. Only real mishap was a cager doing a quick U-turn as I was passing. I was looking for him to move so was able to side-swipe instead of T-bone. Still a bad day. Lost 6 weeks of riding while bike was being repaired, but back at it as soon as bike was ready.

I am a much better driver since I began riding.

Right now I'm without a ride. Got rid of my last bike because I was so busy with home projects and work. I rode a lot when I was young. My last estimate I got a lifetime mileage of around 250,000 miles. Haven't added many miles in the last 5 years. I'm looking to get back to it in the near future.

Nice ride George. My last bike was an 01 Ultra one owner with 15K miles. Jade green and black loaded with chrome. Best bike I've ever owned. I think that was number 9. I love motorcycles and hope with an upcoming hip and knee replacement I can get into a trike later.
