We've changed to a full-screen width here in the forums, in consideration of upcoming updates, and the fact that the other sections of the site will be full-screen as well.

This will enable you to utilize your full screen width when viewing messages... especially useful for those with larger monitors.

I see a few minor formatting issues, but will get those fixed up in the coming days.

Thanks Muhammad. I thought at first that someone had posted a long link, which I looked for. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif But I couldn't find one. I really like being able to use the whole screen finely. That's great.

More reason than ever not to use an in-line photo posting, however, unless you are absolutely certain it will fit in everyone's window resolution. Just a little courtesy and consideration is needed, of which TBN fortunately abounds...

I thought I was imagining it at first, but now I'm convinced that things are rendereing faster, even on my aging computers.

Has there been a reduction in nested tables or something to that effect? I notice it mostly on the Past 24 Hours page.

Whatever the case, I'll take it. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Muhammad,

Will these minor formatting issues include getting Top of Page back? I miss that! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

It's not so bad in the regualr forums, because you can click on the Jump button. But that takes you back to the index for that forum, not back to the top of the page of the particular thread you were reading. Sometimes, I like to go back to the top of the page to reply to the original poster, or to check on some information.

But where I really miss it is on the Main Index page. You can only get back to the top of the page by scrolling. There isn't even the Jump button to use. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Believe me, if for some reason that feature can't be brought back, I can certainly live with that. The new changes are great! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Just a minor inconvenience that no one else has mentioned, so I thought I would. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

If its not too much trouble...

I'm out at the ranch viewing this on an old Dell laptop with 800 x 600 display. Text threads such as this one don't quite fit on the screen, there is a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom that shouldn't be needed for an all-text thread. When I scroll far right I lose about 1/2 of the empty left margin, so that's maybe 5 pixels?

The msg reply screen where I am drafting this does the same thing. I'm using IE6.

The scrolling isn't a problem, but on this tiny display the unneeded scroll bar along the bottom of the screen hides a line or two of text unnecessarily.

Would this be a minor fix?

Thanks!
