Deere 2038R
Hi everyone,
I am new to the site and am waiting to take delivery of my new JD 2038R. Can't wait to get it home and put it to work. These are a few shots of my tractor at the dealer. They are still putting on the 72D deck and some other options..... Any 2038R owners out there have any info/advice? Thanks

We've got just under 4 acres and about 2/3 of it is wooded. I have a number of clearing and grading projects in mind to start out. I know the 2038R is a bit more than I need, but I was back and forth between the 1025R and 2032R for a couple of years, and when I saw the new 2038R MCUT, I just couldn't stop myself from getting one.

My new 2032r is working out fine (after the initial failures with the dealer).

You know what everyone says, it can never be too big. You will just find bigger projects to do.

I dont know about the larger frame - mine is a 2015 model, I think.

Initial failures:
third hydraulic for front grapple did not work.
Third hoses leaked
Bush hog rubbed on back tires
Turns signals did not work.
Blown out seal on one front cylinder.

A few more I cant remember now. Dealer fixed them all, and did a lot of back-and forth -delivery.

Besides all that, it is a great tractor, for my 15 acres.

I doubt that you will find that "TOO BIG" for clearing and grading :D
Quite the opposite, you'll want something bigger and HEAVIER for any ground engaging work - upgrade NOW, before the paint fades.
