Tractor
John Deere 5310
I have searched parts catalogs until my eyes are crossed and cannot seem to find out what the pet is under my gas tank on rear of tractor to the right of PTO and differential where hoses hook into. I noticed after working tractor the other day for a good bit there was hydro flying dripping down on differential from this. It could be hose connections or o rings but anyways please help identify what this box is called. Thanks for any help. IMG_3603.JPG

Looks like the SCV (Selective Control Valves) and appears to be three... are they linked to control levers?

Is this with cab? or without?

This is without cab. It's a 1998 open station 5310 with FWD, FEL, and hopefully one day a lot more attachments. I have. It had t Actor that long, and this is my first tractor but sure couldn't find anything on web about what that was. So what does 3 SCVs mean? Yes on the backside of that goes to the joystick for FEL

Ditto what beenthere stated as valve in photo appears to be scv. O-ring(key 10) is part number 51M7043

Dang glad you told me about the technical manual! I have the operators manual, it came with that tractor. This is my first tractor and have a little mechanical knowledge but I mean a little. So when this problem came up and I noticed the leak I realized I needed the technical manual are they are HIGH as a hard copy (like 159) on eBay. Thanks again for another great tip!

More help for the newbie here. After taking off the fender and having every socket in my toolbox out I cleaned everything off and found the leak. It is from where the SCV is mated with possibly the third SCV and the tractor. It appears that it is coming from two different spots. Is there a seal where all of this joins? Also the 4 bolts that pull all of this together where loose and I tightened them, the leak went from a drip every couple of minutes to a seep. Attached are pictures. Thanks for any help you can give. Of the 6 pics posted, are there just two that are different? Or some subtle differences you want to show between the six ?? Just curious...
Maybe an arrow to show where the leak is.. or what is now a seep.

The 3 SCV are mated with tubes and o-rings.. no gasket/seal, if I read the parts lists correctly.
