A drone flying around with low resolution camera not recording would not really bother me. Once a hi res picture ends up in cyberspace, it's pretty much there for good. If someone showed up unannounced and caught an eye full of something at my hot tub, it's no big deal. A captured hi res picture would be another matter.

I thought quite a few places use cell phone jamming equipment.

I was visiting with my large farmer friend the other day. His buildings set in the middle of 1,000 acre field. He said you should come and video planning operations there. I said I'd prefer not to because I don't want his building site to show up in the videos. Publish them on YouTube and suddenly the wrong people are looking at his property. He said that didn't bother him but I said it bothers me. So again, the only way I'll video someone's building site is if they invite me and then I give them the video. They can do with it as they please.

And BTW...I think there has actually been one or two arrests for using a jammer in a public place...can you say "stupid"...?

Also interrupting/jamming private networks (aka wi-fi) is not necessarily illegal...

I have had a fantasy about using a jammer stuck in heavy traffic. Seeing those already stressed motorists around me smashing their phones on the dash would be worth the risk. Turning it on and off again would be the way to do it.

Agreed. I got a chance to shoot at RC airplanes in the Army. When you have a company of infantrymen with M-16s and M-60 machine guns, and they can't hit an RC plan flying along their line at maybe 200 feet out, well, you learn that it's pretty hard to hit a moving aircraft.

The Scout [Kiowa AKA Bell JetRanger] helicopter pilots in my Cavalry squadron referred to this as the "Large sky, small bullet," theory. :laughing:

The guy in Kentucky used #8 birdshot, almost in itself proof the drone wasn't far away. I suppose a goose gun would be better given the range requirements.
