I recently bought my L2501 with loader and QA bucket, loaded AG tires, 5' box scraper, 5' brush hog (both Landpride). Tractor is 4x4 with HST. They welded couple of hooks on the bucket. Before tax price was $18,999. Out the door including tax was $19,550. I had to do some negotiating to get the price down but found that dealers in Colorado were willing to work with me. I had the luxury of playing two different dealers against each other. Initial quotes from both dealers were around $21,000 for the package I got. Don't be afraid to negotiate price.

Are you using kubota financing? The package price I saw at my dealer appeared to be corporate based.[/QUOTE]

Yes, I would be financing it.

I'm fortunate enough to have several kubota dealerships in my area, so I'll just have to see which one is willing to go lower or throw in some extras. I'd really like to keep the price below 20k after tax.

My understanding is usually the prices are a little better out west due to the shipping savings.

From what I can tell, any "shipping savings" are far outweighed by the everything-in-the-west-is-more-expensive thing.

There are next to no used Kubota's to be found (especially in California - you see some 30 year old B's and anything else lasts moments on used sites) and dealers do not deal at all.

It sounds like we have the same set up, except that I have the box scraper Taking $500 off what I paid (before tax) makes it $18,500. My guy gave me a choice of either AG or R4 for the same price. I chose AG because I need the traction. With enough dickering you should be able to get your tractor for very close to that. Ouch on the tax rate; mine was only 2.9%.

Yes, I financed it. I couldn't turn down 0% interest for 5 years. Kubota will require insurance if financing and they will push their insurance. I arranged my own for a fraction of what hey would have charged.

What was the price of the insurance kubota was offering?

If I remember right Kubota quoted me about $1600 for insurance for the five year loan, or about $320 a year. I used my own agent and paid $140/year.

I'm interested about kubota financing, I have the chance to try it.
