The OEM hydraulic SSQA option is around $2k if I recall. I previously put a linear actuator on my old L3200 which had no power SSQA options & cost around $200-300 & a weekend of fiddling & fabrication.
I'm designing a hydraulic SSQA in my head for eventual deployment on my new L4060. It will tap into my 3rf function with manual valves (which only need to be operated when you get off to hook/unhook 3rd function impliment hoses anyways). I'm expecting it to run me $300-400 & a weekend tops. The OEM Kubota cylinder alone for that is over $800.
My air ride seat is nice, but you are right, hydraulic line snagging is a concern. I'm thinking about making a skid plate for some of the plumbing underneath as well.
