AND it makes a nice "work table", to build my half cord firewood boxes on, too!

It's easy to move it up by my shop to build on, and then move it back out of the way when i'm done.

With what tractor and implement? Looks like cherry. $$$

It's unfortunately red oak not cherry. I winched it on the bed. I haven't ever seen a tractor man enough to handle a log of that magnitude. Long weight calculator says 6,300 pounds. I believe it too. There's a second slightly smaller log on the other side of the truck and it handles similar to having a 12,000 pound piece of equipment on it.

My tractor wouldn't even budge one end of it to get a chain under it. Once I got a chain under it I tried hooking it at the pins and I still couldn't budge one end of it. My tractor will lift the front end of a Chevy 1500 pickup with the same hook point.

Congratulations! that is a beautiful log. What are your plans for it? It almost looks veneer quality.
