Hard to say what the motives are of the person who put that story on CL ... and of those here who are amplifying the story. Its time to leave racism behind.

Some racism remains in our culture. Lets just leave the racists talking to one another, and let them die out, rather than letting their peculiarity continue to poison the broader population by arguing over motives. Such an argument was likely the intended outcome for whoever started that.
