Greetings ,new member here.I have been trolling on this site for 6 months and now I need some assistance. I have a bx2230 and it developed a pin hole leak in one of the metal lines, right where the brace holds it down in front of my left foot. I have had no luck finding a exploded view or a part number. looks like an easy fix.any help would be gratefully appreciated, I am continually amazed at the knowledge on this site. Thank You .

Is this what you are looking for?

Here's the link of the parts breakdown: Kubota BX223D Parts Diagrams

Added in Edit: Sorry the link won't take one directly to the drawing. After selecting link above, selected Pump/Motor System along the left hand side, then select J21500 HYDRAULIC OIL LINE(STEERING).

Heck I'd remove that line and have someone simply braze a blob of brass over the pin hole, maybe even silver solder but brazing would be better.

Mine got hit by a grinder by accident when my neighbor was welding something else. But they were all corroded, so I replaced all 3 of mine for about $90. Removing the left rear wheel helped also.

My first post recently - tho' I was here ~15yrs ago, and got lots of great info & support.

....Hint to any one doing this,Take off the mower ...

That's easier said than done when you have no hydraulic pressure - that's my challenge this afternoon.

Hehe - I'm currently facing a similar problem on my BX2200 FEL lines. The middle of the three ~15 inch hard lines that come up from under to near my right foot, failed quite dramatically - an oily shower head. I'll start a separate thread, but I'm seriously considering selling my (~17yo) BX2200 as I'm getting very tired of playing the hydraulic repair guy every year and cleaning expensive UDT off my driveway & re-seeding my lawn from the oil-kill yet again!

I seem to regularly have hydraulic problems. Last year I had to replace the 3 long hard lines to the steering. The year before one of the FEL flex lines broke and another was dripping. A number of years before I replaced all three FEL hard lines. [Let's ignore the ~$1500 RCK60 gearbox that turned to metal shavings last year when a seal failed].

I *think* the problem is that the BX2200 has too low ground clearance for my non-lawn use and the very low positioning some of the lines tangle with ground brush & even get bumped going over small logs or rocks.

I'd be interested in other's opinions of these small Kubota hydraulic issues - is this a syndrome, or am I just unlucky ?
