I would consider the x738, x739 and the diesel counter parts for your uses. I prefer the x7xx machines for mowing and lawn maintenance. If you want a front loader the 1025R would be my next choice. For mowing and and lawn maintenance I have an x749 with 3 ph and 540 rear pto options, works well and is easy on the lawns.

JGT asked about Deere's and I'd say "why can't he or she do that?" We only have two tractor dealers near us and one has a good reputation, so we're going with the brand they sell. Maybe JGT has a similar and good reason to ask about that specific brand.

How do you know how much research the OP has done prior to asking the question?
Seems like a JD forum is a perfect place to ask the question.
If the OP wants to spend his money on a JD, who are you to question his motives.
I have never been able to figure why so many Kubota fans feel the need to hang out with the Greens.
Do you go into Ford forums and tell people they should look at a Chev?

With 7 acres, a long driveway and snow I think a X7xx is the minimum you would be happy with. Like some others, my question is that once you are spending that kind of money, why not go on to a 1 or 2 series CUT? Then you have the options of loaders and virtually any attachment for future use. I've just got 4 acres and half the driveway and a garden tractor wouldn't do it for me.
About 10, maybe 11k is my max in my budget. I can find a good used one with low hours for about that with the snowblower. I think a 1 series is going to run more than what I can afford and I doing think I would ever need anything more for attachments other than maybe a tiller which the x7xx could also work with. I'm leaning towards the x738 because I think the awd should give me any extra I would need , or at least I hope.

7acres is quite a bit. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to study up on the 1 series next time your go by Deere. 0% interest and favorable terms. You'll use it more than your thinking
