Do you like foxes living near your house.......

It has been a few seasons since I saw a Red Fox... and it wasn't on TV! :laughing: Kinda missing the little guy. Quite elusive and quick as lightning. Never saw the kits or found the den. I really did enjoy him (or her) around though.

Just saw a fox here the other day. There used to be more of them but the coy-wolf-dogs have reduced their numbers. I understand they are the most efficient mouse predators around and I miss seeing them. Don't miss the god-awful screams they sometimes make at night.

I live in the suburbs around Atlanta, and we have red foxes here. I saw a baby fox about the size of a small chihuahua on my deck once... That critter was cute. Another morning my wife saw a red fox catch a chipmunk in our yard! I like anything that kills chipmunks.

I like the nesting birds MUCH better than foxes, especially pheasants and grouse, so I give them a little help...

No fox in this neck of the woods - just a lot of coyote. May be one of the reasons there are no fox.

BTW, Sawyer Rob, is that some sort of "mixed color" fox??

I don't mind them at all near the house ... we don't let our cats out, so NBD from that angle ... they are cute and the rodent control is a plus.

We had a pair that had a den and a family at the edge of the lawn back behind the house a couple years ago but haven't seen any since then.

I saw some evidence of something digging along the fence line up towards the middle of the property. Stopped by to tell my neighbor about it - it's his fence and he used to keep sheep but no longer does apparently - and he said that he had seen a red fox out in his pasture recently.

We have coyotes too, anyway, that fox was a "cross fox"... I get a couple fox every year...

Your gun has aroused my curosity. It looks like a shotgun, or perhaps a Drilling, but you have a scope on it. I have seen a lot of guns in my time, owned a few, shot a lot but never have I seen a shotgun with a scope on it. What's the story?

It's a drilling,

It's been my "go to" gun for many MANY years...

It was built by,

mines 1935 vintage...

As for the scope, it's attached with "claw" mounts, and goes on or comes off in seconds,

when snapped back on, it ALWAYS goes back to zero...
