Hi all. I asked this question on another forum, but wanted to ask it here also.
I have Kubota BX23S, and I wanted to test the hydraulic pressure. Unfortunately, with the new flat face connectors, the BXpanded kit will not work. They are hoping to have a compatible one soon, but I don't know what "soon" means. I even called Messicks to see if they had a part number for the female quick connector, and unfortunately the guy I talked to said it only showed the parts for the entire manifold, not just one female connector. The reason I think I need the female connector is that the male ends are on the tractor, and the females on their new quick attach manifold. To try and make a long story short, I was trying to piece one together, but I am not finding it isn't very easy to do.
I took a picture of one of the connectors for the backhoe, as you can't undo the FEL connector unless you removed the FEL, and I really didn't want to do that for a picture. It looks to be a 5/8" connector. My assumption is they are all that size. Based on that assumption, here is what I am building:
Connector from Summit Hydraulics: Amazon.com: 5/8" SAE -1 Skid Steer Bobcat Flat Face Hydraulic Quick Connect Female Coupler: Home Improvement
Pressure gauge: Winters PFQ Series Stainless Steel 3 4 Dual Scale Liquid Filled Pressure Gauge with Brass Internals, -3 psi/kpa, 2-1/2" Dial Display, +/-1.5% Accuracy, 1/4" NPT Bottom Mount: Industrial Pressure Gauges: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific
Hose: Amazon.com: Apache 98399 64 1/4" x 18" 2-Wire Hydraulic Hose Male x Male Assembly: Industrial & Scientific
Hose adapter: Anderson Metals Brass Pipe Fitting, Coupling, 1/4" x 1/4" Female Pipe: Industrial Pipe Fittings: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific
Then I need an adapter from the connectors 7/8 inch female threads to get to the hose: EATON AEROQUIP Male ORB to Female NPT Straight Hydraulic Hose Adapter - 4VRY8'|'2216-8-1 S - Grainger
Then a connector from that connector, to the hose: https://www.grainger.com/product/EATON-AEROQUIP-Male-NPT-to-Female-NPT-Reducer-2F437
Before I start getting all of that, has anyone built a pressure tester for the new 80 series? Can you tell me what you did, and how you did it? This turned into a larger project than I thought it would be!
