I remember in the early 80's when you couldn't buy a Civic for MSRP they were going for about $3000 over MSRP. I had never heard of a car for more than MSRP.
I stopped by two dealers with Chevy Bolts recently. One dealer had $4,000 Additional Profit stickers on every car.I remember in the early 80's when you couldn't buy a Civic for MSRP they were going for about $3000 over MSRP. I had never heard of a car for more than MSRP.

Sad to admit but I once hauled a 16' garage door from the home center strapped to the top of my '70s Honda Civic hatchback. I did tie off the front and back to the bumpers. It was quite a sight.
My garage door collapsed leaving my garage unsecure. Desperate times, desperate measures.
I remember where I was when I saw my first early 70s Honda. My first words were, "What is it?"Those cars didn't weigh much at all...... if you'd crested a big hill and caught an updraft, you probably would have been fined by the FAA !
Needs Must..... :drink:
