I've got a few green tomatoes growing but still a long way from having a red one.:licking:

Same here. Planted by seed in march. Must be snails pace tomaters.

Lots of green ones here.....I usually hope for a ripe one by the 4th, but it has been cool and wet. Otherwise all garden looking good. .... a bumper crop of potatoes, onions etc.

HMMMM - no tomatoes this year and my hills of squash are a couple of weeks from first blooms.

Y'all need to come South. I have been hip deep in tomatoes for 6-8 weeks. As a matter of fact, I am about at the end of them until the fall.

And you know the really sad thing----- I get to thinking those store bought tomatoes are good!!!

We are a week or so away from full "vine ripe" tomatoes...
I'm sure most of the gardeners here are already familiar but some may not be...
Tomatoes are either determinate or indeterminate as far as a growing cycle goes...for canning/freezing etc...determinate varieties will produce most of the fruit all at one time...where indeterminate plants will continue producing fruit as long as the season permits...

From Canada so my tomatoes are still tiny - maybe 1/2 inch lol. Can't wait for some fresh tomato sandwiches!

That only happens to me about a month before my tomato season starts, I am really spoiled by having good tomatoes. Since we are just starting to harvest more than a couple of cherry tomatoes I have been eating them for snacks and a bowl of sun sweets and black cherries are better than a candy dish.
