MM60rse Gear box bearings bad

Yanmar and Cub Cadet are no longer, and so are the parts. Bearings went out on the mower deck gear box and the box cant be found anywhere. Not even the Certified Yanmar dealers can get it. Now that my 3 year old tractor is in the same as a 1940s cant find parts category, I'm looking for Ideas on what to do to get it running again. Anyone ever rebuilt them? Or Is there a substitute? the model was an H1050-013 Peerless gear box.

I would double check with your local Yanmar dealer. I just did a search through our dealer system and see that Yanmar currently shows 90 in stock at Georgia. If you need any other help let me know.

I sincerely hope that is not the case.
Support for their product including genuine CCY attachments that were sold at the time should not be in question.
There are an awful lot of those machines around. They need to supply parts period!

On a side note the gear boxes were made by peerless, so maybe that will help.

The dealer says the new box is $509.00. Have to think about that. Thanks for that link. (Gtrippleb) I've searched that same store and never could find it. I was able to disassemble the box fairly easy. The damage is mostly to the output bearing, cover and seal. I'm going to go with the repair route and see how that works. Any idea how much oil goes in it? Thanks all for your help. what a relief. Ill post the results.

Yanmar is a fricken joke. I called one of its dealers and they answered the phone Radio Shack. Im thinking is this for real? Yes it is, you can buy parts for your tractor at the local Radio Shack in Beautiful Maysville KY. Don't get to excited cuase they cant get parts either. I was successful finding parts from a different gearbox that fit perfect and got it up and running. This thing is up for sale.

I was going to say its probably not a one off bearing you should be able to go to a bearing house for the bearing and seal. the cover plate sho0ud be availible but looks like your running again.

They are stainless steel bearings with no markings. I was able to cross reference the cap, seal and bearing to a different peerless gearbox. Was a long shot but it worked.

Its been 2 seasons and 100+ hours on the repaired gearbox. Seems to be holding up pretty well.





You can use the above part #s to find them. Availible from Cub Cadet, or other places online.
Not pictured (102 - 786029 in the parts # list) Is the cap with new seal installed, also includes the 4 bolts to mount it.
Please Note: This doesnt include the gasket. not pictured and no number, Ive just made my own.

As a heads up, my SC2400 mid mount mower gearbox went out this week. Traced down new gearboxes from Yanmar America Parts Department at 1-800-966-7685. The new gearbox part number is 1A7880-99900. Might be able to get other parts from them as well!
