For $390 I'd take mine off and sell it and just let the engine get more air!

Sadly, that $390 is probably for the bare painted cover and if you want the shinny new stickers on it..... probably a lot more...

I'm inline with this. Weren't any side covers on my 32 yr old JD. They put vent screens on them to allow the engine to get air. Side screens so the tractor looks purdy. Get more of both without them on.
