New Project,,, Any Guess As To What It Is??

Working on a new project,, a dozen pieces of 2" x 1/4" steel angle,,
some 1" solid steel bars,,

3 pieces of 1/4" steel flat bar,,,

Any guesses as to what it will be?

ROPS for an inexperienced dirt bike rider, trap for Houdini coon [ from another thread ], heavy duty greenhouse frame, chicken tractor, [ need some fencing ], magnet tester, parakeet cage, corn crib, carryall, ballast, manure forks, 3 grill guards, wood rack, geometry test, swing set, loading ramps, sailboat, bird feeder, heavy metal guitar stand, picture frame, beach chair,. I have eliminated all the obvious ones, one more hint and I am sure to get it.

WOW,, This many guesses have put me in a bad position!!

All of a sudden, I have realized how many projects I have NOT done yet!!

But,, alas,, none of the guesses are correct,,,

more hints?

I already had one, but, my daughter wanted it,,, so, you know dad's,,
I gave that one to her,,,

My daughter uses it almost daily,,

Homemade landplane. I didn't have that in my list of guesses 'cause I saw that you already had one as your favorite attachment. If that is what it is, hurry up and get it done as you have many more projects to do. I'm interested to see how the sailboat turns out.

I thought the hint that my daughter uses my old one daily would have give it away,,,

After drilling the 42 holes,, and beveling the dangerous corners,,,
I painted it red,,,
Now,, I am waiting for the stainless steel bolts to arrive,,

I have the wood,, somewhere,, I will have to find it!! :thumbsup:

The extra paint got sprayed on the trailer,, THEY MATCH!!

We have a winner!!

Lakeside Amusement Park in Salem VA closed many years ago,, and sold the picnic tables.
Those tables were probably sixty years old,,, then,, (30 years ago?)
They charged $25 a table, but, they all needed new wood.
The wood was not treated, so the old boards were VERY rotted.
I bought one and put new wood on it,, after 20 years, I gave it to my daughter,,
It still looks like new.

I went to her house, measured it, then built the red one.
My wife has a leg issue, that makes it hard for her to get up.
SO,,, I built this one with the seat about 6" higher.

This one will have the synthetic boards, rather than treated lumber.

Stainless bolts are in the mail,, and should be here in a day or so,

Will this be the first ever handicap equipped picnic table??

42 holes are easy when you have a power-down feed drill press.
I just use some old HS drill bits.
With power-down feed,, the drill bits almost never get dull.

Keep up the good work IMO,another day with kids is worth more than a week of golf.
Let me slide my :soapbox: over here and talk to the younger generation. My wife's sister was widowed shortly after her children married. She met and married a wealthy bachelor with no family ties. The two of them traveled the world for 40 years,seldom returning home and spent few holidays or special occasions with family. Meanwhile grandchildren and great grandchildren were born. Two years ago,she was widowed again. She can't comprehend why she is so lonely and has been unable to establish a relationship like other elderly women have with familys. Soapbox returned to closet and I'm headed out to the shop to work on my old Airstream that house's me,my son and grandsons during hunting season.

The bolts came today, so, I attached the composite boards to the frame.
Luckily, I could back the trailer into the shed,, shade was nice,,,

I will now see if I have enough material to build another one for my daughter to use in her garden area.
