Thinking about getting a tooth bar for my 32 hp Mahindra. I have been looking around to find one online and they seem to be priced any where from about 180 bucks to well over 300, I know you usually get what you pay for but they seem to be made with similar materials. Any ideas on this? Thanks in advance!

I ordered a Construction Attachments bolt on tooth bar last week from Everything Attachments. It's still a couple weeks out, but I decided on that instead of the Piranha because I have a greater need for all out digging rather than a combination of digging and removing brush and saplings and the like, which from what I've read the Piranha tooth bar excels at.

No first hand experience with the Piranha...

I see that Titan has a construction type bar for around 180 , yet EA has the same type for about 340. That's quite a difference in price, is the construction or material that much different? They are both bolt on and seem to be made with roughly the same guage of metal? Is there that much of a difference in quality? I do see that EA makes them to "custom" fit each bucket width with a couple of weeks out for delivery. Not trying to bash one company over another but just curious as to what others have experienced. Not sure I need the piranha blade as my need is to stiffen up the bucket edge and doing a bit of digging/material moving. Any info or opinions on this?

Thanks

really depends on if you plan to abuse (or use it to it's maximum limits) or just doing light duty work. Not sure which tooth bars you are comparing but to me, yes you get what you pay for. I've been to the W.R. Long factory in Tarboro, NC, I believe Titan is imported from China.

Same here. In 2010 I bought the WR Long "Flat" Tooth Bar for $300 from a Midwest farm supply store. It worked great in moving rocks embedded in dirt. It was also good for back dragging. Later on I purchased the Piranha bar ($290) for light duty work moving gravel and dirt embedded in smaller root undergrowth. It is also good for back dragging. Cheaper bars I can not comment on.

PS...I notice that the WR Long web page rates their bars based on the lift capacity and width. That may have something to do with pricing differance.
