Isn't that easy when the JD dealer is 3 towns away, your needing work DONE & limping it along to get by. Very Frustrating when you've bought the Cadillac of farm tractors to NOT have issues.

Mine doesn't give a DTC & I can hang parts on it attempting fixes lol.

You might need a new dealership...My JD AG dealership makes farm calls...

I had the same issue with my 5075E not long ago and quickly discovered the plug to the seat switch had loosened-up a bit. I clicked it back together and haven't had the problem since.

I bypassed my seat switch so I could move pick up trash & tree limbs keeping the PTO engaged to mower / bush hog.
I know I'll get some bashing on this lol

Did you watch the video? Never seen those but for their application it's bang up. Besides being much lighter than most SS

It was in the power reverser lever. Had to have a new one. Not cheap!!!

Do you have the part number for the lever? I have a 5055e doing the same thing. It is driving me crazy.

Mine must have been a loose connection on one of the solenoids on left side of transmission.
It hadn't acted up since I re-secured all the elc plugs there.
I have a New PR Lever switch assy just incase though

I unplugged/plugged my connections with no change. Do you have the part number for the switch assembly? I've looked through the parts catalog and its clear as mud what part is needed.

Not sure on your 5055E 3cyl.

I appreciate the response. I have gone through every connection I can find, so hopefully it is the switch. Especially since I'm about to spend $300 on a replacement.

Scratch that, 18months later I’m getting the dreaded neutral light & Alarm while going along fine in A1.
Wouldn’t take F or R.
I had to pull it & implement back to the barn & swap tractors.
Tried it again the next day & it would take Forward but Not Rev.
New Pressure Sensor On left side of Trans didn’t fix it.

I hadn’t checked for loose fuse yet.

Any ideas ?

Mine turned out to be the switch. I checked it by using a friend of mine's switch off of his tractor. I put his switch on mine and everything worked. My switch on his and he had the same problem. Easy fix--took forever to track down.

I get the red neutral light AND alarm every single time I shift into F or R

So I’d ASSume the Switch is working but I’m guessing lol

It's been too long. I can't remember if I got an alarm as well.
