Not completely true - they resold all their old camping trailers. I know 'cause I own one............BTW, U-Haul never sells old trailers, they are destroyed after they are deemed unusable..........

I remember often going by a U-Haul repair facility that always had trailers for sale, but they now say they don't sell trailers.
I rented a single horse trailer from U-Haul once long ago. One wheel bearing went out and the wheel almost fell off. Gee, that was fun, a half wild horse in a trailer beside the road while I went to find a new bearing. Luckily I had some tools with me. The one and only time I rented from U-Haul. They did pay me for the bearing though.
