TC33DA PTO light stuck on, until the next day

New Holland TC33DA, This happened several times this weekend mowing and grading. Pto engages fine, used it a couple hours mowing. after about two hours, tried to start and pto light was on but not engaged so it wouldn't start. Removed connector and it seems fine. Manually pressed switch and light remained on. Let it sit overnight and cranked up the next morning with no light on. Used for a couple hours discing and grading, restarting several times and then it happened again after using in 90 degrees plus for 2 hours.
Is there a chance the pto light also indicates something heat related? We haven't tested anything yet as it always works when we are at the barn but when it dies it's miles away so we just let it sit and come back later. Any ideas where I should start? Can I rule out fuses since it does eventually start? Would a relay get hot and not work but work again when it cools? Thanks in advance

I looked through the sticky on this and it seems my problem is not the same as others. most had something pulling wires loose or battery corrosion. I have neither and no others with the problem have mentioned that it starts after sitting for several hours. Anybody? lots of views with no suggestions

It sounds like you a one of a kind problem that no one has seen before. That's usually a good thing since it indicates just a defective part vs bad design.
I'm a bit lost. As I read understand it, your PTO light comes on as soon as the ignition is turned on and prevents the tractor from starting. But, if you leave it sit for a few hours, it starts and works fine until you shut it off, at which time the light stays on again?
This is an electronic PTO, correct?
If the PTO works fine once its running, then I'd say you have a sticky relay. That relay is probably what sends power to the light and/or a signal to the computer that the PTO is engaged. You need to track down that relay and unplug it to see if your light goes out and allows the tractor to start.

Of course, it could be a heat-related issue with the computer itself ...
