About a mile from here is the old original Peterbilt site that became a shopping center back in the 1960's...

Several times a month I will see a big rig stuck on the upper exit ramp from the shopping center... the trailer landing gear wedged tight... The trucks drive up the incline and get stuck where it levels off...

Those guys are looking for a service center that closed 50 years ago????

There is a large grocery store, bank, clothing shops, etc... the deliveries are mostly for the FOODS Co grocery store...

The signage is clear in that it says no delivery trucks permitted on ramp...

Maybe it should be more explicit and show a picture of a truck stuck with a tow rig???

The "Hump" is where the incline transitions to cross the sidewalk and the the curb cut... as the tractor crests the trailer wheel jacks get hung up and lift the tractor drive axles... going forward isn't an option and backing up isn't either...

A few truckers have been creative with putting timber under the drive wheels put the timber wants to slide down the ramp...

Maybe swing away trailer landing gear?

Boat launch gone wrong sends RV into the Erie Canal | WSTM

Brockport, NY — A half sunken RV now sits in the Erie Canal after a boat launch went terribly wrong Sunday morning at the Monroe/Orleans County Line Road Boat Launch.

The camper was pulled into the canal while trying to launch a boat that was just purchased yesterday, according to a witness.
The Brockport Fire Department and Monroe County Sheriffs responded to the incident. No one was injured.

The driver will never live that one down...

I've seen a lot of trucks try to traverse US 129 in TN, The infamous "Dragon". Now it's signposted, no trucks, to many stucks, wrecks, and unfortunately, fatalities.
