Hi,

Planning to get a new machine... after much reads on the forum and google search i got 2 finalists both korean.

KIOTI CK 3510

TYM T 354

Are these actually good machines ? are the korean at the same level like japan made or italian made?

The use that i am going to give to the tractor is tilling, mowing.

it is a small property about 5 acres in american units.

I like more the features on the TYM, sincro shuttle, independent PTO, 12 gear box VS 9 gear, live PTO.

TYM as 540/1000 RPM pto, kioti only 540/750 RPM

TYM gets an yanmar engine, lower cc, but better reputation (it is a really yanmar or a clone?)

KIOTI as a better price. about 2000/3000 euro less.

KIOTI seams to have a better dealership network.

TYM seams that is being forgotten by time.

what should i do ?

I did a lot of research when I went from a Kubota to a Kioti. I believe Kioti, TYM and LS all make good products with a good reputation, and provided there was a reasonable dealer network nearby I wouldn't hesitate to purchase any. If you search the forums, you'll find a lot of happy owners of each of these brands. As you mentioned though, around here Kioti has way more support and dealers than TYM. Kioti seems a bit more well-known, which also helps with resale.

I'm familiar with Kioti - no TYM in my area. Kioti is Daedong in the rest of the world, well known and long established company. I bought mine new two years ago, no problems at all. My PTO is 540/1000, I have the 1000 locked out as I have no implements that can handle that many RPMs. Kioti (Daedong) makes their own engines. See http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...hattered-piston-400-a.html?highlight=warranty for how well they stand behind their product.

Test drive both, if you can. Have the dealer mount a box blade, and check how smoothly you can raise and lower it. (Mine can be a bit difficult to make small adjustments with.) See which one fits you better. I'm 6'3" with size 14 boots, and some tractors are hard to get comfortable with for me. If you see TYMs or Kiotis in use in your area, stop and ask the owners about their experiences. Good in California may not be in Portugal, and the reverse.

All I can tell you is my previous tractor (John Deere 850) was made by Yanmar in Japan
My dad has a Kubota L3000 and an L 4600.
All have been good machines.
My current tractor is a Korean made Kioti DK 35. Owned it for 16 years now. I've been very pleased with it. Nice, reliable tractor.
If the Japan made machine I listed, my previous JD or my dads Kubota's are any better you would have to point out to me where. I sure don't see it.

I have a CK4010 and really like it. Wish I had rear remotes. Loader is pretty quick and the HST is nice, I run a 6ft tiller with no problem.
My only regret is not getting more HP, but I have over 40 acres . I am at a little over 100 hours and no issues

My dealer just stopped selling Mahindra and started selling TYM. They also carry LS.

The Mahindra is Made by TYM(at least the ones I looked at recently), they just use their own engine. The TYM offered more standard options and are less expensive to purchase.
I own Kubota and TYM, both have things I dislike. When I was looking for a bigger tractor, the TYM had much more to offer as standard options than Kubota and almost 10 grand cheaper. So far the TYM has been a great tractor with no issues, the BX24 is a little mule, it has done everything I've asked of it. So is Korean on par with Japanese I'd have to say yes.

The 1500 and Max series of Mahindra are made by Mitsubishi. The bigger machines are made by TYM and Mahindra.

Based on the experience of people I know who have kiotis, it's at least as good as the major named brands.

Most smaller Mahindra tractors are made by Mitsubishi. Bigger tractors are made by Mahindra. TYM built some tractors for Mahindra, like the 10 series. My Mahindra 4110 was built by TYM, and has a Daedong engine (aka Kioti).

Before committing to purchase a TYM or Kioti tractor, suggest you make up a spreadsheet using information from the specification sheet for each tractor - refer attached example for TYM, Kioti and Kubota.
This provides a quick overview of each of the tractors and assists with making the right decision. First issue is to determine if tractor size / capacity is "fit for purpose" and then second issue is to negotiate "best price".
Much easier to negotiate "best price" when you can rattle off the positives / negatives of a tractor to each salesman. Takes all the bluff out of the discussions.

i think i am going to a Goldoni Ronin 50
Italian made.
Its the same price as the KIOTI CK4010 (500 euros difference).

It have a 2199cc engine. everything is mechanical, no electronics, no dpf.

independent pto, the only thing that i don't like is the 3 point itch control, it is not a position control but a valve control.

It as depth control, 3th point hydraulic, front hydraulic ports for loader.

Ronin 5 | Goldoni

The rear 3 pt is sort of wimpy for a 50 hp tractor

If I looked at it correctly that's almost 4,000lbs. Pretty much towards the top end of that class tractor.

OP, looks interesting, never heard of them.

My eyes were seeing kg but my mind was reading lbs!
Definitely a strong 3 pt.

AWSubie, yeah I figured that's why you said that. I was beginning to think my new tractor was a wuss trailing behind that one in lift capacity. Lol

OP, I looked that tractor up and didn't even see any for sake in the states. But I did see it's been around along time, the brand. Good luck with it and post pictures after getting it.
