Case IH Farmall 70A vs. Zetor Major 80

I have firm quotes from 2 dealers:
Case IH Farmall 70A w/L555 MSL Loader + Rear Weights-> $32500
Zetor Major 80 w/ZL31 NSL Loader + Rear Weights -> $35490

The Case IH dealer is 20 miles away, the Zetor dealer is 103 miles away.
Opinions?

If anything goes wrong with either machine, you're making trips to the dealer. Most people I know buy what ever brand is closest.

The Zetor spec wise is more comparable to a C series Case. Would you be happy with the size of the Farmall A?

Service to me is #1.

While Zetor is a long standing brand name overseas and I can't really say anything bad about their tractors, their dealer network has been somewhat volatile in North America. I can't name any (local) Zetor dealers that sold them in the 1980's and 90's that sell them now. Is the dealer a tractor place with mechanics, or an add on sale for a gas station or RV place?

CaseIH on the other hand, I can still go to a dedicated equipment dealer and I don't worry on parts support locally.

You know these tractors! I tried to get a quote on Zetor Major 60, but they are no longer available in North America - Major 80 is the smallest Zetor you can buy. Farmall 75C quote was $5K+ more than Zetor Major 80. Thanks.

Here is another interesting thing to note: both tractors have FOPS, but Farmalls are available with under-swept exhaust (Zetor Major 80 has vertical pipe only). To get the Major 80 in and out my buildings I would have to do something ( like maybe Stack Breaker).

Only because I just got done doing alot of extensive research buying a new tractor. Haha. Next year I'll be a beginner again with new models...

Not sure if interested, but NH is the same as Case. If your not against blue and have a good dealer around may want to price check them also. The Workmaster is a Farmall A Case, and the T4 is the C series Case. I just purchased a Workmaster 60.

That was a plus to me on my Workmaster, the swept under exhaust.
