Dogs in Lowes Store

There are many retailers that allow dogs into their stores: Lowes, HD, TSC, every pet store - just to name a few. The floors are all polished concrete, nobody is harmed. Sheesh.

Thanks for the info, I did not know that. Thought it was service dogs only. Seems all dogs would be a health/safety issue but apparently not.

Our local Lowes allowed dogs for awhile, then it "stopped", but know the dogs are back. I was not paying that much attention to how they stopped the dogs being brought in the store, I assume a sign, but I see dogs again. Usually in a woman's purse but sometimes there will be bigger dog on a leash.

Never seen the dogs make a mess or a problem. Not like I am eating in Lowes.:laughing::laughing: But I hear that in some places in Europe they allow dogs into restaurants. I would think the bigger issue with dogs would be people with allergies vs dog misbehavior.

Later,
Dan

Sometimes it is not practical to leave the dog at home. Around here it is illegal to leave a dog in a car while shopping. As long as the owners are responsible, I have no problem with dogs in most stores.

I was at Lowes Wednesday and a couple of guys were there with a Chihuahua dog. No leash, just running around saying hello to everyone while the owner was calling him to come back.

Haven't noticed any dogs in Lowes, but did see one in Tractor Supply the other day. Actually I saw this huge pile of poo, then saw the medium sized dog, then saw the embarrassed owner. That dog must have been saving that for 3 days. :D

I guess I should be surprised that they let me in the stores. I most usually have cow poo on my boots and lower pants legs - kinda goes with the territory.

You don't like dogs in Lowes - show your dislike - shop somewhere else.

Do you actually believe your rights extend to driveing customers away from businesses by bringing your dog and tracking feedlot mud through their buildings? People are increasing going places they are not welcome but you take the cake when it come's to exerciseing rights.

I'm OK with it if the store allows it, although I personally don't like it. I get blind people, deaf people, and other truly handicapped people having service animals. I think this trend has gone WAY OVERBOARD. It seems people can have a service animal just because it makes them feel good.

I see dogs in HD and Lowes nearly every time I'm in there. Over the20 years or so they have been here, I've never seen a a dog misbehave in any way. Never seen a dog running loose.

I see no harm, but wouldn't want to see one in most types of businesses.

The dogs I see in these stores are better behaved than some of the people there. I saw a Great Dane last week at Menards. He startled me from behind in the checkout line when he was sniffing my pant cuff, no doubt checking out the smells from my dog. He was a nice big young boy though, and very well behaved.

I saw a woman pushing a goat in a baby stroller through the aisles once...!
