Massey 1736 - force manual regen process?

I am the owner of a new to me 1736 Hydro. Looking thru the past threads there was a lot of discussion around manual regen. While I am waiting for the operator's manual is there a definitive process to get the tractor to start a manual regen? I have 5 bars showing on the soot meter but if I have the brake on, everything in neutral and the tractor warmed up it still will not start the regen when I press and hold the upper right button on the left side of the wheel.

Any suggestions?

My 1736 Hydro won't manual Regen until the soot meter shows 7 or 8 bars. When it reaches the correct conditions, the DPF lamp will flash and an alarm will sound.
At that point you park the tractor, put the throttle at a low idle and then operate the DPF switch. It takes 15 to 40 minutes to complete.

If this shows up in search later after the light and buzzer kick in the trick is that the tractor needs to be at dead low idle (bottom of the manual throttle) and the parking brake needs to be on. Once this is done then the regen button will start the regen.

Thanks for clarifying what needs to be done for a manual regen to be intitated.

If you don't force a manual regen will your 1736 automatically perform a regen?

Mine has done its regen's automatically so far without any issues.
