Small caliber target pistol?

I have had a stainless MKII for a long time and have put 10's of thousands of rounds thru it. Works great, and still does. The wifey has a Ruger 22/45. Which is basicly the same thing, but a polymer lower instead of stainless like mine, and the grip angle approximates a 1911. All of the MK2's Mk3's and 22/45's, are a bit of a pain to take down and reassemble. Actually the take down is not bad, but the re assembly will leave you scratching your head until you have done it a few time. of course now with the MK4's, they have fixed all of that and it is now the easiest 22 target pistol to take down on the market. The old Colt Woodsman, which I dearly loved, is probably the hardest to reassemble. I have to have a book, on the ones I have done. The woodsman has the rear sight on the slide, and of course that moves and may not always be as precise like the Ruger which the front and rear sight are on the same barrel/reciever piece which is fixed, and has a "bolt" that moves inside the receiver.

All that said, all of the big 3 common target pistols the Buckmark, the MK4, and the Victory are all good. If you have the money, get the MK4.. I would buy them in this order...Ruger 1, Victory 2, and Buckmark 3. But each to their own.

I got to looking on the net at the Ruger MK4 and they are very nice but pricey. But, I just might get one from santa.

I went subsonic on the .22LR, much quieter. I also use bird shot for squirrels and they are also quieter but will not feed in a semi-automatic. That is when I wish I had a revolver.

I have a Remington 572 pump rifle that will feed shorts just fine. It's also quieter than an autoloader, because the blowback does not vent gasses.

I really liked the Hunter model as well.
Love the look of the wood grips.

I purchased the AAC Halcyon when they were first released back in June I think. Now just waiting for that dang Tax Stamp. Wondering if I will get it before Christmas!

That's why I want to order it ASAP. I figure if I order it now, I might have it by next spring.

Here are the latest wait times... I wish I would have saved the chart in June. I think they are getting longer. I was optimistic because 3 months ago the times were getting shorter.

Wow. Looks like I'll be waiting a little longer than I anticipated  I can't even order it yet as it's not in stock, they said they should have some by the end of the month.

Did you go with a trust? I haven't looked into which way I should go with that.

You need that silencer for target shooting?

I've got a suppressor coming for a Ruger SR-22.
Do we need one? No...but it does make plinking much more pleasurable and safer.

If the ATF Wait chart is accurate, I should be able to pick my suppressor up sometime between January and March 2018.
