One other thing. There seems to be a lot of people on TBN from Maine. Every time I passed a residence with a tractor parked outside I would think, I wonder if the person living there is a TBN member..lol

I was thinking the same thing about Va.

One thing for sure there are a lot of tractors here, almost seems like every other house out here in the country.

Great vacation. Maine is spectacular. Being it was our first time there, we did the touristy stuff. Spent 3 days in Bar Harbor, ate lots of lobster, worked our way back down the coast from Bar Harbor. Our favorite lobster shack was McLoons near Rockland. We didn't have a specific agenda, just drove around free lancing. I would definitely recommend it. If I go again, probably would go in early October to see the leaves but wouldn't want to go much later than that because of the cold. We were there the third week of August.

Maine is a fine place to go. My son and I proved that we could eat lobster three times (at least) a day for three days in a row. Planning another trip soon.

People that live here are extremely independent, tractors are everywhere here because a guy like myself couldn't do half the things I do on a daily basis without one, I couldn't live without one.

Moxie to wash down a tub of clam fritters and french fries with vinegar, not ketchup.
Two scoops of Deering blueberry ice cream on a sugar cone.
Playing with the goat at Acadia.

I somehow missed the goat when I was at Acadia. Guess I'll have to go back and check it out.

OK TNHobby farmer - how about an update?

My wife and thinking of a week trip across NH and Maine but not along the coast - been there, want to see something different.

We're taking a little fall (leaf colors) trip around NH tomorrow, I get some pics for you.

Just got back from Island Falls, just west of Houlton. The colors were very nice.
