Lift off tandem fenders

I'd be afraid of a blown tire beating up the side of the car you're hauling with no fenders.

I don't think you understand what I am trying to accomplish. I just take them off to load the car so I can get the door open. Once the car is secured, I put them back on for transport.

Yeah, that's how I understood what you are doing. Some guys I 4wheel with have to remove fenders to get their buggies on because their footprint is too wide to fit between them. They always reinstall before roading.

My Load Trail has removeable fenders that work well. One bolt each front and rear and metal tabs welded along the frame to catch the back of the fender - no rattles at all from them. The clearance led fixtures have a 2-pin push in connector which makes it quick & easy on that. My tires are less than an inch taller than the deck so driving over them would be no problem and then of course being able to open & close the car door(s) wide open is handy. The fenders are just a little on the heavy side but manageable diamond plate.
