I recently have been looking at the 1526 / 1533 and received a quote from a local Mahindra dealer. I was wondering why they would mark up the MSRP($2k) vs what mahindra is advertising on there website?

Any else run into this? I am curious on what you are paying for either with a loader, I am located in NW NJ.

Thanks!

Transportation is the common reason given. But at that price its time to shop around. That's insulting!

The price depends on whether it's a cash price or one of the financed price. There are several prices depending on your agreement with them.

So I settled on a 1538 Shuttle with Mahindra single cylinder grapple. Any one have any experience with either? I am expecting the delivery the end of this week.

I have a 1538 shuttle. So far so good. I didn't get the grapple but I did get the backhoe.

Looks good.

If you're going to be in the snow with it you might want to think about grooving those industrial tires. I did mine and it seemed to help. There is a big long thread about it somewhere on this board. It's pretty easy to do as long as you get the rubber warmed up a bit first. With heat from the grooving iron alone it takes a lot of effort and the going is slow, when the rubber is cold. A space heater helped a lot.

I have the grapple with a true third function. Works good. Some of the other ones were too heavy and would limit my lifting capacity. I have property that is full of logs and rocks so I need everything I can get out of it.
