too funny, reminds me of my favorite line to my wife when we went shopping at Costco in Florida, we are going broke saving money ;)

Good morning all. Big rainmaker headed East, finally. Some showers today, rain comes in tonight and tomorrow. And we really need it.
Was going to repaint the little Massey's engine covers, I took too long getting the second coat on and it all squinched up on me. Grrr. Same result as painting on too cold
metal. Or too cold paint. I had it out in the direct sun, which helped, but it's a bit pebbly looking. I remind myself it's a tractor, and not a barn queen, so it's going to get dirty and scratched.
Looking good from five feet away is ok with me....

So no painting today though the panels are small enough I could paint them in the barn if I backed the Kubota out.
speaking of which...
My Kubota was named after my late wife and there is no way Nadene is going to sit out in the weather long.
when she said from her hospital bed honey, I think it's time for you to go buy that tractor, I told her I'd name it after her and
always keep it in the barn. That got a big smile. I missed my promise for a year, but since I got here, that Kubota has been worked hard and always
goes home to the barn. The Masseys at least are under shed roofs. The one I just bought sat outside for twenty years in the rain.
I'm surprised it didn't have more rust frankly. And after I finish it's fluff and puff, she will look like a new girl.

I have been dragging hoses and sprinklers for two days, so this rain is very welcome.

that looks a might heavy for breakfast, but I hope you got to take some home.

We haven't heard from Larro. Sending a cosmic hello to him.

Time to go pull in hundreds of feet of hose. I take one end and carefully pull it with
the golf cart. Turns are an issue.

Drew, i wiped that plate clean.

Slight drizzle this morning. Saw an overturned schoolbus on the way to work, hope it had no kids on it.
Edit, 2 students and driver with slight injuries.

Yep, Larro has been AWOL for about 5 months. Long camping trip?

The low this morning was a warmer 39*, yesterday's high was in the mid 50's. Still had the wind but not as bad. Today's going to be in the high 50's with lighter winds.

Worked on the tractor and got the heater back in. I'll find out if it works this morning. Also helped a neighbor cut a couple cords of wood. Made it out in the evening to see if I could find a elk, but no luck doing that. All and all it was a good day.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

50°F and cloudy this morning with some drizzle falling, going up to 66° today. We're entering that roller coaster weather period now; 70s by Thursday, and and lows around freezing by the weekend.

Happy (belated) Birthdays, Buppies and BEF.

Congratulations on the new family member, Eric.

There is a 5 acre place behind us that's up for sale, Drew ... and we rarely drink (beyond the occasional social drink).

Finally got the large dumpster hauled off Friday, so we have access once again to the lower yard, where I was able to get the tractor in there and do some re-leveling to repair the damage left by the Bobcat and cement truck during construction of the rebuilt basement porch. Got some serious ruts leveled both inside the fence and along the side of the driveway with the Ratchet Rake and rear blade. We threw down some stepping stones for the floor layers to use later this week, and now need to reseed the whole area. We put up some temporary orange fencing to keep the dogs out of that part of the yard while it's muddy. I made sure to get the requisite dirt pics, too.

The tractor got a much-needed bath after its work was done Saturday. We spent the day Sunday finishing up painting in the basement porch, and fixing some squeaks in the stair landing. Flooring company is coming Thursday and Friday to install vinyl in the basement bathroom and porch, and carpet throughout the rest of the basement, as well as a runner up the middle of the stairs. After that, we'll spend next weekend putting everything back in place. We still have some trim work to do in the basement and sunroom, but we've decided to take a break for the coming holidays and do that finish work next Spring. Looking forward to it being done.
