Didn稚 really find anything we needed at the case lot sale said:
too funny, reminds me of my favorite line to my wife when we went shopping at Costco in Florida,
we are going broke saving money
Good morning all. Big rainmaker headed East, finally. Some showers today, rain comes in tonight and tomorrow. And we really need it.
Was going to repaint the little Massey's engine covers, I took too long getting the second coat on and it all squinched up on me. Grrr. Same result as painting on too cold
metal. Or too cold paint. I had it out in the direct sun, which helped, but it's a bit pebbly looking. I remind myself it's a tractor, and not a barn queen, so it's going to get dirty and scratched.
Looking good from five feet away is ok with me....
So no painting today though the panels are small enough I could paint them in the barn if I backed the Kubota out.
speaking of which...
My Kubota was named after my late wife and there is no way Nadene is going to sit out in the weather long.
when she said from her hospital bed
honey, I think it's time for you to go buy that tractor, I told her I'd name it after her and
always keep it in the barn. That got a big smile. I missed my promise for a year, but since I got here, that Kubota has been worked hard and always
goes home to the barn. The Masseys at least are under shed roofs. The one I just bought sat outside for twenty years in the rain.
I'm surprised it didn't have more rust frankly. And after I finish it's fluff and puff, she will look like a new girl.
I have been dragging hoses and sprinklers for two days, so this rain is very welcome.
