I must have bumped the remote remote lever up and now it is stuck there. How do I release it? Is it safe to operate the tractor like this? Not much info in the manual.

It looks like it is just pushed up into Float mode which has a detent to hold it in place just like your loader valve. It won't pull back down?

Correct. It is in float and stuck there. I have nothing that connects to the remotes.

With nothing being connected, it still should not make a difference, the valve should be able to be pulled back past the detent and spring back to neutral, with or without the tractor running.

It should just pop out of float and back to neutral just like the loader valve does. There is a detent holding it in the float position.

If you can not pull it out of the float position past the detent, then something is in a bind some where.

You can always disconnect the cable at the valve and pull it out of float directly on the valve.

Thanks!!! I’ll try. Do I need to do that before operating the engine?

actually, I was referring to the pump running with the ports disconnected. Will it dead head?

It should be fine, there is no pressure build up when the valve is in float mode. Now other valves down stream may not work though.

In general I suggest that you get this taken care of sooner than later

It turns out that Yanmar has seen this in at least one other machine.

It cleaned up easily with solvent, with no pitting on the spring. I greased it and it seems to be fine. The upper valve had no issue whatsoever.

Also, Yanmar is fantastic as far as support goes.
