We had venison roast, potatoes and carrots tonight. Cooked all day in a crockpot, wife made gravy, sorry nothing left to take a picture of.

Here are two that I can make .

Try peanut butter and sweet pickles. Grandmother used to make them for me when I was a lad. She used her own homemade pickles though. I haven't tried it with store bought.

Some of my favorites are from a mid 1960's Ladies Carpenters Auxiliary that my Grandmother was in. They made a couple cookbooks over the years.

The Auxillary is long gone, the Carpenters hall too. But I still have my Grandmothers cookbook(some of her recipes were in the cookbook.

I enjoy cooking but it痴 something I don稚 have time for often. Prefer cooking from scratch and most of my best meals are from recipes found on the internet or cookbooks put together by church ladies.

Chocolate chips maybe, but not pickles!

...anyway...I found a chunk of smoked, outside meat Boston Butt from earlier this summer...in the freezer...been simmering all day in a pot of navy beans with some onions and and carrots...
