Around here it doesn't matter how fast you go, BC truck drivers are going to ride up on your tail. Speed limit is 60mph for trucks; totally ignored; it's bad enough that that's the case, but to also tailgate!

It's stuff like that Texas incident that makes it clear why there are regulations on fuel transport. Yes, regulations ain't going to save you from "stupid," but they may lessen repeat performances by the same individuals.

I tend to drive fast if in my car. In my truck not so much... haven't noticed the BC truckers will pay attention now.

I don't like driving in the "fast lane" (actually, it's a "passing lane") because there's always someone else that wants to go faster! (and come up and tailgate) If there's a lot of traffic you're not going to be going "fast." But, even so, it seems that if you're exceeding the speed limit (say in the case of 70mph, trucks 60mph) these truckers will still run on your tailgate. And this is what triggers things like that accident in Texas: stupid [tailgating] + stupid [hauling all that gasoline] = really stupid! I expect better behavior from professional drivers: and I try to afford them courtesy because most, well, aside from the BC ones, tend to be good drivers (and the non-truck drivers not so good).

Honestly, that picture looks like it is near me. Wouldn't have been a Middletown Tractors truck would it? They are a John Deere dealer, but do take a lot of other brands in on trade and service other brands as well.

I'd say the tow vehicle is adequate and that the strapping job is adequate.

I didnt really look at which dealer it said, but think it was our local one.

We have the John Deere dealer and the Kubota dealer across from each other and every once in awhile a stray tractor will get on the wrong side of the road and be surrounded by the wrong color.

I wonder what they think those roof racks are for? Those planks tied to the rear roof rack and the tailgate would be a **** of a lot safer and more comfortable for everyone. Especially with a line tied to the front rack to help control the front of the planks from "lift" while driving.

Those racks are not strong enough to support all that lumber. Jon
