Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Pictures of your snow weapons

been there,

Does the front mount where the ball is swivel or stationary? Also what are the blade measurements if you don’t mind? I’m also wondering if a ATV snow blade would work for the wing but not sure it would be long enough. Thanks for any info.

The ball is stationary. The trailer hitch connection is welded to the leading edge of the blade so there is the pivot point.
A pic before painting. Dimensions 12" leading edge, 24" trailing edge, and 96" length.

Fabrication shop sent me pictures of the finished wings mounted and ready. A little over 3" extra width per side. Elected to not do bracing as if I hit something immovable I want the point of failure to be the wing bending rather than damaging blower or 3PH. Will be nice to have the extra width this year so i'm not running rear tires right on the edge of the dropoffs from the driveway

Nice fab job. Imagine the first good snow will be a joy to try it out.

Couldn't help but notice the yard of the fab shop.. rather ill-prepared for likelihood of winter and up-coming snow.. but then, who really is? :)

Looks good!
Upon first look, I was surprised the wings were bolted on rather than being welded.
Bolting does make sense though, in case of damage, they'll be much easier to replace.

I don't have a great need for wings, but after seeing those pictures, I may have to reconsider...

Great wings,, I wonder if the wing needs another piece of steel to allow the snow to "slip" past the blower flange.

Light snow is OK, but, heavy snow will hang and not go in the blower.
Maybe you could re-drill the holes, and move the wings further to the rear,, to eliminate the lip to jump?

They just got the shop itself finished a week before I dropped it off. Its out behind the guys house.

Yeah I wanted bolted. The holes were already in the blower from the factory. Allows for easier replacement and the option to remove them for storage after winter.

You talking about where the wing meets the outer edge of the blower and there is a little gap?

Yes, it looks like the blower edge is going to act like a block, stopping the snow from "sliding".

I only know "warm" heavy snow that we get down here,,
everything has to be smooth for the snow to slide.

I doubt that will be much of a problem. The worst that will probably happen is a little bit of wet snow will pack in the gap, in effect filling it in so the snow that follows will slide on past.

Are these considered "snow weapons"? Maybe they are. Snow is my business.... Hope you like them. I should add, we do receive snow here.
