Considering M9000, what to look for

What's the CDN to US exchange rate?

/ Considering M9000, what to look for #12
27000k CDN = 21000 USD "today"

That M9000 would be sold fairly quick on a dealer's lot in Canada.

$21,000would sell it here assuming not dry clutch and not abused. Worn and replaced tires somewhat a red flag. Euro mount not popular here and everyone wants SSQA. Loaded tires an issue because of wheel rust and 24/7 weight.

Farmer495--find me some 20" Kubota front wheels there. I used to spend a fair amount of time in NS when I lived in Maine. Developed a taste for Schooner beer and married someone with family from Arichat. Long story.

This machine is the power shuttle. Current owner claims the prior owner (as far as he knows only other owner) used it to drag a trailer around at his business, which was on pavement, and that's why the tires are bad. There is a trailer brake controller that has been added, which supports this theory. Fronts are fairly new and clearly replaced recently. Current owner said the fill in the tires is beet juice. I thought that wasn't supposed to rust out rims. Loader is the LA1251 and in very good condition. AC compressor was replaced last summer.

I have looked for this model for sale elsewhere. I've seen a number of units for sale online around the country and prices are either for a ROPS version (this one is cab), notably higher, or the price is about the same but the hours are higher, as in more than 1000 more hours. Of course these are asking prices, not sale prices so it's difficult to know what they are actually selling for.

I'm going to call the local Kubota dealer here to find out what they would charge to replace the tires as well as haul it. I'll also ask them if they know of any issues on that model, and with my description, what they think it's worth. I can't really do much about it this week anyway, too busy with other things. I guess if it's a really good deal it'll be gone before I can get organized. If it's still around in a week or more, I'll have some thinking to do...

I do appreciate all the input. Thanks

Cab version doesn't have the center stick to straddle :)
18.4-30 rear tires likely set you back at least $2000 for "Chinias Ply" tires.

Funny how regional things are, Euro is the connector of choice here, even Deere has it now. Skidsteer popular on skidsteers and compacts. CACL very common here too, have three tractors here on fluid, one bought new with fluid on day one, replaced the 20 year old tires with new tires...the tubes and rims were like brand new, loaded up with CACL again, goo for another 20.

I bet the local Kubota dealer would be happy to get you some 20" rims! Shipping might kill it :)

Unverferth here can make them for $325 each so "ouch" on that. Shipping will likely kill anything else so I might wind up staying with my 8.25x24's and getting radials for those. My tires are new enough that the local ag dealer will give me new Chinese radials for my tires and $200 for the pair--8.25x24 so that's plan B.

I would even buy 20" bias ply tires for up front just to get something wider. Relax, lots of people do this and it's not like you're driving on the Autobahn. Deere did the whole 5000 series with radials rear and bias front for a number of years. I have radial rears and bias front on my M7040 now. No real "pull" of front is needed, just the wider tire.

I made an offer of $21,500, seller countered with $24 which was beyond my budget for this tractor. We'll see what the next few weeks bring. Perhaps if he doesn't get any better offers he'll come down. Perhaps St. Nic will bring some extra cash or I'll get tired of looking and raise my offer... Thanks for the input; it helped solidify my offer.

One other point is that you are operating on the assumption that beet juice didn't rust your wheels and I'll bet it has. I've unloaded a number of fluids over the years and every one rusted the wheels. I have threads around showing wheels rusted with no rust fillers. Good luck.
