Anyways, has anyone made up some of their own panels for under the rail? I made a landing which is basically 11 feet long with a 5 step staircase on both ends- so ~ 20 or so feet long with a continuous rail. Tiled and turned out just fine. I essentially have to make up 3) 43" wide panels and 4) 31" panels which is 2 for each stair case. With weather on my butt, it is finished and installed sans these panels, and what the heck- let it meet code. As it was finished with square floor tiles , I was just going to do a 3 or 4 inch grid or possibly the stainless cable route. It doesn't seem to pass muster w/ the misses. I think I've seen every Google image for inspiration, but I'm missing something here. It would be a great time to have a Plasmacam, but I don't. A cutter , yes. One of the better metal stores by me I know has leafs and such, but do I take rod , bend it, beat it and tack leaves on the end of tig rod? Or cut something out of some sheet? Looking for something at least repeatable, somewhat easy here and currently fishing for the magical solution....
