Did the cost of solar panels go up?

These are the Reolink RLC-411WS. The jury is still out on them but the more I learn how to use them the better they become. They were not a simple out of the box enjoyment to set up. After I get some more experience with them I will do a dedicated thread. The companies pricing seems to be a moving target on that auction site. They also advertise these as having microphones and they do not. Setup was a pain but their support is fairly responsive considering the time difference across the pond.

On the subject of wifi range they advertise about 300 ft. I think this is more dependent on your wifi signal the the ability of the cameras to send and receive but both are important. I am using a AR-GL300M router with the external antennas. (they make this router with internal or external antennas) I have tested the router out to 450 feet at an indirect line of site. So far I have tested these cameras out to 360 feet with a direct line of sight.

For reliable solar operation systems need to be 3-5 times rated usage. You need a large enough battery to power equipment for the longest time without sunshine (several days) and not over discharge the battery. Your solar cells need enough capacity to charge the battery during the shortest days of the year and worst weather. If you have enough power to charge the battery on the shortest days of the year, the longest days of the year will overcharge and cook the battery. A watt in does not equal a watt out. Under Ideal conditions the system is at best only 80% efficient. In actual use it will be less than 50% because you cannot add power to a charged battery. As with a voltage regulator on a car, a charge controller is necessary for a solar system. The controller should turn off the equipment to prevent over discharge of the battery and stop charging when the battery is fully charged to prevent cooking the battery.

I'm wanting to make a few of the setups you pictured using my Wyze cams.
Proposed equipment:
Solar panel (100 watt) linky
V3 Wyze cams (1 to 3)
20,000 mAh power bank (I've several) or a 12V battery
Charge controller
Power inverter if needed

I want to spread them around my lot. I've Ubiquiti U6LR's for signal.

Right now I'm looking for a good inexpensive charge controller, I'd like to keep everything at low voltage if possible.

Any suggestions?
