I have a cousin who has a 1999 Cub Cadet lawn tractor, model number 2185. It is in need of new rear tires and he's having a problem finding them. The manual shows a part number of 734-319 for Cub Cadet Turf Pro tires, size 23 x 9.50 x 12 NHS (don't ask me what the NHS means). He bought some Carlisle tires numbered the correct size, but they will not fit due to the fact that the outside diameter of those tires is larger than the original Cub Cadet tires. Where might he find the right tires?

Tractor Supply carries quite a few tires and possibly even Walmart. If no luck he might have to go to a Cub dealer.

Go on Walmart web sight and look up small tractor tires, you will find them there. I have done this and they are very reasonable. You can pick them up at the store in your area or they will ship to your home. Cheaper to pick up at store. You install them on your rims. Speaking of changing the tires/rims, Harbor Freight has a tire changer always on sale that can do this easily, a real bear without one. Bob

IIRC, Lowes usually sells the common lawn tractor tires already mounted on standard-sized rims. Not much more $ than just the tire, and no struggling with mounting. I have a LOT of experience with tire mounting and recently had to give up on one of those itty-bitty fronts. Tiny wheel, stiff, wide tire! The local tire shop did it for me in about 10 minutes, for $5 and a knowing wink.
