Backhoe JD Quick Attach Coupler

This is probably a stupid question, but I'm guessing I will need to drive these spring/roll pins into the only two holes that are visible once its mounted. Is that about right?

Looks right to me. They're straight 'roll' pins to prevent the main pin(s) from working their way out.

I have the same type of pins on my ballast box... my only implement that required a knobed-bushing. The bugger of that was that there are two different spacing holes and, of course, one of them was in the wrong hole. I was easily able to knock the 'roll' pin out using a centre punch, re-position the bushing and re-use the pin.

Mind you, I'd keep a couple of spares in the shop... just in case you ever need one.

Thanks for confirming! I will definitely get a few more. I also have the enormous cotter pins from the pin-on style connection...but I probably couldn't use those, although it would make servicing everything much easier.

You may want to take a file and lightly cut a V to show the pin hole alignment in the end of the large pins before inserting them. Makes identifying where the holes are so inserting the small pins will not become a, now where is the hole game.
