I posted this in the "Tires" subforum but it fits in well here too.

My old Chevy truck tires had finally seen the end of their life and were simply worn out! One even had the cords start to separate. Today when I went out to visit a good friend of mine he surprised me with the gift of a brand new set of 245/75 R16 M&S truck tires which we promptly mounted and balanced ourselves. Is that great or what?

Mounting and balancing equipment of your own. Sure would have been handy when I was driving 50k a year for my job.

SWEET! Very sweet.

With that 0.7 5th gear you could drop in a mid-performance 3.73 ring gear. Plenty of 'go' and great crusin' rpm too. Go for it!
